Which method of execution would you most likely prefer?

I chose picture number 3.

Personally for me I would rather die and be executed by means of chemicals passing through my body compared to hanging which is comparable to lynching and electrocution which will cause my eyes to protrude and bleed.

I think this sentiment is shared widely among other people.

Lethal injection is by far the least painful and the better of the three evils.

This way of execution should be seriously considered if the current ruling of capital punishment through execution is not abolished.

At least in the future, if I were to be executed I know that it would be a less painful death compared to other previous executed persons.

Fatal faith

The statement, death penalty would certaintly struck a chord of fear in even a hardened convict. But one would wonder why there is still offenders commiting condemn crime. Certaintly one wouldn't on his finest state of mind, commit a rash act or crime. A crime can be commited when one see's a chance of him gaining something; be it monetarily, pleasure or even as simple as overcoming poverty.

The recent death penalty cases' covered by the media have instantly attract mass attention which have caused major debates on whether Singapore's hang till death capital punishment is appropriate and should there be alternative death sentence- with the recent lethal injection issue on a local newspaper as an example.

Personally to kill someone even as a punishment, is itself a heinous crime.
Someone is alive in this world for a reason.
To take him off this world much earlier than he is supposed to live would caused major distruptions.
Perhaps the recent 'worldwide' disasters is a way the one above is showing us who's in charge.

I would suggest life imprisonment as a capital punishment to offenders. And I mean
life for life. The only way to be released would be through good behaviour before being assess by psychologists and experts- and that is only after serving at least 20 years behind bars. It would also be noted that he would be on probation all life prior to his released.

Now everyone...
Vote for Hafiz!

Lethally blonde.

Lethal injection. I and Hafiz have questioned ourselves on why Singapore resort to hanging as the execution method for capital crime and did not opt for lethal injection which seems like a better of both evils. A recent article on the Sunday Times answered this question regarding the matter. The writer claims that with the use of lethal injection, the thought of the manner of execution does not strike fear enough into the hearts of would-be-offenders and therefore might not act as a successful deterence. However he also pointed out another reason on why lethal injection is not opted.

Organs from the body of the executed person can be used for medical transplants for patients who are in need of organ transplants. With the injection of the lethal substance as a method of execution, the possibility of the usage of the organs are totally eliminated as the organs are not usable anymore due to the lethal subtance that have spread through the organs.

The writer quoted that there have been quite a number of transplants involving the body of the executed persons with permission from family members. However it came into question in my mind where the financial benefit of such transplants will be directed to.
